Pa Aton em heb” from the time of Akhenaton in Tell el Amarna (c.1360 B.C.) informed us about what would happen in the hereafter.
He says:” a Generation dies and others stay in their places since the time immortal of the gods (or the justified deceased), who are resting in their pyramids, the noble ones and the glorious ones who are buried in their pyramids. Those who built homes, what happened for them? ….Their walls had been demolished and nothing left, as if they were not actually there. None comes yonder to tell us about their situation and what they need, so that we would relax until we go there where they are. Look! None takes his properties with him, Look! Departed ones do not come back again”.
