An excerpt from the biography of the storekeeper "Entef Ibn Senet"
Who lived in the family era 12,
Central state (around 2000 BC).
I (in my life) were facing anger with calm and silence,
And I was patient with the ignorant, thus avoiding the fight,
I was careful, not in a hurry,
I know that everything has consequences, and I expect what will happen.
It was I who spoke of conflicts and disputes,
Because I know what words provoke anger and so I avoid them.
I was confused when I heard those calling me by my name.
I meet the friendliness of those who come to tell me their concerns.
Kind, kind and friendly,
I know how to control my emotions, and calm down the crying with the kind word.
I meet my companions in the face of divorce, and serve my colleagues and neighbors.
I am the trustee in his master’s house,
Who knows adulation when utterers utter it (do not be deceived by it),
I am the owner of the open face, generous hand,
I own abundant goodness (of food), and do not turn my back on those in need.
I was a friend of the poor, generously giving to those in need,
I fed the hungry, and my hands always stretched out to the poor
