The Sphinx (the spirit of the Horus) statue of Queen Hatshepsut
Wearing the royal head mongoose, in colored granite,
Family 18,
The modern state.
From the funerary queen temple west of West / Thebes,
The Metropolitan Museum.
Hatshepsut appears to be beautifully feminine
Despite the sphinx’s strength and prestige with the royal beard,
In contrast to the ideal handsome face.
Usually the Queen depicted herself in most of her statues as male rulers,
But her beautiful facial features are also visible in this statue.
He was one of at least six granite sphinx statues
That was located in the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut.
Among the six granite statues of the Sphinx were found.
Four different sizes were available
It is more likely that they were erected separately in the courtyards of the temple.
It turns out that this beast weighs 6,758.6 kg (7 tons)
A statue of a pair of statues believed to have been on either side of an entrance.
The statue accompanying it is located in the Cairo Museum.
