This coptic hymn we the Coptic Christians chant in the Good Friday memorial of Crucifixion of Jesus Christ the only God .

This hymn was chanted by our ancestors the ancient Egyptians for a duration of 40 days during the mummifying ritual process in a mournful lamentable way as a grief about the passed Pharaoh , we the Copts " Christians of Egypt " still have the same tradition of mourning a beloved for 40 days , any person regardless of his religious cultural or racial background will burst into tears because of the deep mournful tone and rythems .

When the ancient Copts our ancestors converted into christianity "the new religion" in the first century they used the same hymn with the same rythems and tone but with exchanging the ancient Egyptian words into  new Christian words express our belief in Christ .
