The Sphinx or the Dream Painting is a commemorative plaque that he commanded to place "Tuthmosis the Fourth" between the two extended hands of the Great Sphinx of Giza, in the perpetuation of a dream that this pharaoh dreamed before he ascended the throne of Egypt in 1401 BC.

The description of the painting was that Tuthmosis the Fourth was a young prince in the era of the modern state and he was hunting one day on the Giza Plateau. When he was tired, he resorted to the Sphinx who had been covered by the sands of the desert and only his head appeared, and he dreamed of a dream where the Sphinx appeared to him in The dream and preached to him that he would assume the throne of Egypt, and asked him to remove later the accumulated sand.

After several years, the prince ascended the throne of Egypt and ordered during the first year of his rule to remove the sand from the Sphinx and record this dream on a large plate, placed in the hands of the extended Sphinx, and that was after 1300 years of the construction of the Sphinx, where its establishment dates back to the era of King Khufu or his son King Khafra around 2600-2700 BC. 

The dream plaque in the arms of the Sphinx has a rectangular shape with its upper edge curved, and the plate is 144 cm high, 40 cm wide and 70 cm thick. In its upper part, it sees two sculpted figures of Pharaoh Tuthmosis the Fourth, to the right and to the left, presenting our offerings to the Sphinx.

Foreign archaeologists have taken moulds from the painting and prepared gypsum moulds for translation and interpretation of hieroglyphic writing and drawings, and there is one of those paintings that are very similar to the origin in the London Museum.
